VZ VermögensZentrum has been participating in the Kontaktgespräch for almost 10 years. Why do you keep coming back to Lucerne?
The Kontaktgespräch is very fruitful for both sides. Every year, we look for 50 to 60 new trainees for our branches throughout Switzerland – not because trainees are leaving, but because we are growing so rapidly. We also offer HSLU graduates a start to their careers with long-term prospects. Many of my colleagues at VZ Lucerne studied at HSLU.

What makes VZ different from other employers in the financial sector?
Ever since the collapse of Credit Suisse, everyone has been aware that the industry is in a state of upheaval. Our approach differs from that of our competitors in important ways: since our founding, we have focused on providing independent advice to avoid conflicts of interest. This creates trust and opens many doors for us: more and more people are seeking our advice and using our other services. This is because questions about money and retirement are at the top of the Swiss population's list of concerns. These are precisely the topics we train our trainees in, making them sought-after experts. Our training program is considered best-in-class because it is very practical and trains across all hierarchical levels. Why should graduates visit your booth?
VZ specializes in providing comprehensive advice and support to wealthy private clients. We don't sell products; we are paid for our expertise. Our financial consultants cover all topics related to investments, pensions, taxes, real estate financing, and estate planning. The trainee program supports newcomers on their way to becoming financial consultants. You studied at HSLU yourself. Who would you recommend a career at VZ to?
Those who start at VZ get a secure job and real career opportunities. On my way to becoming CEO, I realized that an attractive employer is about more than just interesting tasks and prospects.
